ITINERARY

Tierra del Fuego - 7 days & 7 nights Horse Safari

Arrival Details

All travelers must arrive in Santiago (at the latest) on the day before a domestic flight on Day 1.  It may be possible to check straight through to Punta Arenas Airport from Santiago International Airport.  Normally easiest to break the journey in Santiago

 

DAY ONE // 

The itinerary starts with your arrival at the airport in Patagonia.  From the airport, you will be privately transferred on a car & boat journey from Punta Arenas airport. Eventually you will see people awaiting you on a remote beach where you have a short walk along the sand to your house.

Potentially a short ride, walk or explore around locally on this first afternoon.

Overnight Accommodations: Traditional Pioneer House (simple but cosy).

DAY TWO

Day ride to visit a remote gaucho's house; and explore the forest trails and coastline ( and hope to see dolphins playing in the kelp, and penguins in the water).

Lunch with the gaucho. 

Overnight Accommodations:  Traditional Pioneer House (simple but cosy).

DAY THREE

7 hour trail ride exploring the forest and climbing up a river valley to the Karukinka Private Park (completely wild). Passing through beautiful coihue forests, passing around peat bogs with its unique flowers ... lots of bird and wildlife, including guanaco.
 

Overnight Accommodations:  Tented Fly Camp 1

 

DAY FOUR 

After a hearty cooked breakfast, coffees, teas ... the horses will be brought from there grazing spots, saddled up & on to our next Tented fly camp 2.

DAY FIVE 

Ride back through the mountains back to the coast to our house on the beach. Asado waiting!

Overnight Accommodations:  Traditional Pioneer House (simple but cosy).

DAY SIX 

Optional morning and afternoon rides up in the forest - back for lunch.

Fishing, walking, stand up paddle or relaxing ...

Overnight Accommodations:  Traditional Pioneer House (simple but cosy).

DAY SEVEN

A tranquil morning - and mid moring picked up by the boat to return to Punta Arenas.

Overnight Accommodations:   Hotel

DAY EIGHT //

Transfer to airport for flight to Santiago.
