These traditional lungis are hand spun and hand woven items made in Kerala, India. The factory is goverment funded and everyone who works there are working in good conditions using traditional methods. A legacy left by Ghandi.
The cloth is super soft, very good quality and long lasting but you must be aware that the finishing is slightly rustic, but this in no way affects its use, but rather in our opinion adds to its charm. It is the favoured garment of the south indian.
It is a more practicle and longer design than the Kikoy one sees around - and can be used in the home, outside on summer mornings, on the beach and so on.
We source flamboyant colours.
